Ex-Miss USA arrested for drunk driving
A role model has fallen. Former Miss USA Rima Fakih was arrested last weekend for drunk driving. Every year drunk drivers seriously injure and kill many people in New Jersey and across the country. The personal injuries that drunk drivers cause leave many car accident victims permanently disabled and there is often very little that car accident victims can do to avoid the erratic driving behavior of a drunk driver.
Many drunk driving crashes involve intoxicated drivers who walk away with only minor injuries while responsible motorists suffer catastrophic injuries. Victims of drunk driving accidents should contact an experienced personal injury attorney who can help hold drunk drivers accountable for their reckless behavior. A personal injury attorney can file a negligence lawsuit against a drunk river. A negligence lawsuit can allow a car accident victim to pay for his or her medical expenses and recoup lost wages, among other things.
A drunk driving case can be very complicated as well. Drunk driving cases often require the experience of attorneys capable of handling complex, fact-intensive issues such as the physiological and psychological impact of alcohol on a driver’s ability to control his or her car. This evidence can also often be used to hold the person who served the drunk driver accountable. Those who serve visibility intoxicated persons may be liable for subsequent personal injuries that occur when the intoxicated person steps behind the wheel.
We will discuss more details of the former Miss USA’s drunk driving arrest case in tomorrow’s post.
