Car crashes into parked cars injuring one and killing another
The worst part about an accident is that it is unexpected and most individuals involved are not prepared for the aftermath. A car accident can happen at a moment’s notice and can include several victims. An automobile crash could result in fatalities, which increases the level of emotional distress of the tragedy. Watching speeds, avoiding distracting activities and following traffic signs and signals is crucial and could reduce the chances of an accident occurring.
Police were dispatched to a crash that resulted with one death. The collision occurred between a BMW and two parked cars. At the time of the crash, a man was getting into a Prius, which was one of the parked cars with which the BMW collided. The impact from the accident instantly killed the man. The driver of the Prius was injured as well. In addition, the driver of the BMW suffered some injuries.
Preliminary investigation of the accident revealed that the driver of the BMW was traveling at an excessive rate of speed on a road that had a speed limit of 25 mph. Police were unsure if the driver was distracted or intoxicated at the time of the crash, but investigation is still ongoing. As a result of this incident, the family of the deceased could file a wrongful death claim, which could help with the funeral costs and damages incurred from the accident. The injured driver could file a personal injury claim, which could cover medical expenses, lost wages, rehabilitation and pain and suffering.
Although accidents do happen, drivers are able to reduce the chances of some from occurring. Not speeding, avoiding texting while driver and following posted signs could assist with accident prevention.
